Organitzacions participants:
Hellenic Foundation of Europe & Foreign Policy (Grècia), MELISSA Network (Grècia), Centre for Social Studies and Policies (Itàlia), The People for Change Foundation (Malta), Cooperation for Voluntary Service (Bulgària).
Context i objectius

Context and goals
Since the beginning of the war in Syria in 2012, the number of people who have reached European coasts has increased steadily to 1,259,265 in 2016. This has been a challenge for the reception and integration systems of the different European States, in particular, for those located on the Mediterranean coast. This situation especially affects women who face the integration process unequally with respect to men and have specific needs often invisible.
The main goals of the project are foster an information sharing network between Member States with a long history of refugee integration (Italy and Spain) with those who have a less developed integration structure and build capacity for national NGOs as well as governmental organizations to offer integration courses, especially to women.
Developed activities
Within the framework of this project, the CCAR has carried out several studies on types of training and the methodology that is being used from the administrations and NGOs in our country to receive these newcomers and what are their main training needs. At the same time, trainings to officers of Malta, Greece and Bulgaria has been carried to optimize efforts on integration issues.
Also during May and July the following study visits were carried out in Italy and Spain:
From the 16th-18th of May 2017, officers from the CCAR and Sant Boi del Llobregat and Sabadell city councils conducted a study visit in Italy during which the participants got to know the reception system this country, named SPRAR, meeting with authorities from the Ministry of the Interior and from city councils and visiting reception centers for asylum seekers and refugees as well as entrepreneurship projects initiated by this group. Program of the visit, here.
Finally, from the 12th -14th of July 2017, civil servants and workers from various NGOs from the different countries participating in the project visited Barcelona. During the visit, an international seminar and a workshop about information and training was held where representatives of CEAR, the Catalan Government and various local governments presented the Spanish reception system and the resources and methodologies used in the various information and training sessions targeted to asylum-seekers and refugees.
